Emergency Contraception
If you’ve forgotten to take your pill, your condom split or you’ve had unprotected sex in the last 72 hours then you may need emergency contraception, and the sooner you take it the better.
Available for FREE at the above contraception clinics and some local pharmacies. Patients can also purchase from the chemist at a cost of approximately £25.
If you’ve had unprotected sex or your condom failed, it is also really important to consider your risk for sexually transmitted infections and to think about your long-term contraception needs. Please phone the surgery to book an emergency appointment.
If you miss the 72 hours it is still possible to have an emergency coil fitted up to five days after unprotected sex. You can have an emergency coil fitted for free at your local sexual health clinic.

Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy (IDVA) service: Independent advisors who support people experiencing domestic abuse to safety plan, risk assess how people are feeling and get the help that they need.
Refuge space: Safe space to house women and their children who had fled domestic abuse. Advice can also be given to women wanting to leave the borough.
Freedom Programme: A twelve week group work programme which aims to educate women on how to spot the signs of an abuser so they can break the cycle of abuse.
Men & Masculinities Programme: A non-judgemental programme for male perpetrators of domestic abuse who are willing to recognise and change their abusive behaviours.

Sutton Clinical Health Team for People with Learning Disabilities
The team provides a specialist service for people with a learning disability where their needs can not be met by mainstream services. The person will need to have a learning disability, be registered with a Sutton GP and be over 18 years of age. (The team also have ‘Continuing Care’ responsibilities for a small number of people who may no longer have a Sutton GP but remain the responsibility of Sutton CSU.) Most people who are eligible are the responsibility of the local authority of Sutton but some may have been placed with a Sutton GP by an external Social Care Commissioners. In such cases the specialist Clinical Health Team will apply a locally agreed protocol to ensure input from the team is appropriate
